I'm a girl who likes music, sport, food, wine and whisky, swimming in the sea and walking my Norfolk Terrier (unless she decides to do one and chase a squirrel, then, quite frankly, I can't abide it). My wife and I met on a hockey pitch 13 years ago, we have an overly independent toddler together who is actually pretty awesome when she sleeps.
Do you want to know more? Ok, so, the main headline is my first paid job was singing in the church choir at weddings.... I suppose you could say I've been doing market research in this industry since the age of 7 (?!). I also got distinction in my grade 8 clarinet at the age of 14 and even though I literally haven't taken it out it's box for like 5 years (much to my mother's dismay), music continues to be my biggest hobby. So much so that I even work in the music industry (you could call that my day job, even though it also happens at night as well). This sounds quite cool doesn't it, but it's the presumed "geeky" side of the industry (and proud) aka classical music... listen, the artists I manage are a wonderful and eclectic bunch and have performed at the likes of Glastonbury, Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the BBC Proms and the Berlin Philharmonie. They are all exceptional.
Because I love it, and what's more joyful than being part of an occasion where people are having the best day of their lives? I also like the sound of my own voice and have been told I'm reasonably OK at it. One final fun (?) fact, I was head girl at school... and actually so was my wife... I've just realised that might put you off, but hopefully it doesn't, as I'd love to be the person that gets to lead your celebration.
Shall we set up a video call, just to make sure we do ACTUALLY get on? It's important that we do, as we'll be speaking quite a lot over the next few months, not to mention the fact that my face will appear as a lasting memory in your family photo albums.
